The hand-held wire mesh strainer has a double layer of mesh to quickly and easily break up lumps of flour, clumps in gravy, or strain seeds and pulp from a tomato sauce. The strong double layer of stainless steel mesh is tough enough to let you push ingredients through with a spoon, and it's easy to clean. A nickel-plated wire rim keeps the mesh firmly in place and frames a flat black plastic handle that won't absorb heat. Two convenient 1" hooks formed from the wire frame let you rest the strainer on a bowl or pan while you work.
