Wells 48” Commercial Gas Griddle (Wells Mfg. HDG-4830G)
Cook breakfast, lunch and dinner on this 48” commercial gas griddle. It features a 3⁄4” griddle plate for quick pre-heat, even heat distribution and fast recovery. Manual controls have an on/off control and infinite heat adjustment. Each control features an adjustable air shutter to control air and optimize combustion of the cast iron burners. Burners are every 12” and rated at 30,000 BTU/Hr. for a total output of 120,000 Btu/Hr. An LP gas (propane) conversion kit is included, This heavy-duty commercial griddle has stainless steel front, sides, splash guard, full-width front-mounted grease trough, and removable large capacity drip pan to make clean-up easier. The front panel is removable for access to the components. Cook pancakes, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns; Reuben and grilled cheese sandwiches, or chicken breasts and steaks. As to the question of flat top grill vs. griddle, they’re two different names for the same thing. Because they cook with heat from below like a grill, some people call them “flat top grills,” or “flat tops” for short. But in general, griddles have a flat surface and grills have a grate. The HDG-4830G is mounted on adjustable heavy-duty 4” nickel-plated steel legs.
