The rectangular cast iron steak weight lightly presses steaks, hamburgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken breasts and other menu items flat on the griddle while also using the heat stored in the weight itself to cook the other side. The 2-Lb. weight of the steak press is enough to flatten bacon on the griddle surface to keep it from curling, but not so heavy that it will press all the moisture out of a juicy hamburger, for example. The black steak weight has a wooden handle for safety, so you can lift it without a pot holder when it's time to turn the item or take it off the grill.
