Part of its Steelheart Series, Hoshizaki’s F1A-FS commercial upright single-door freezer is a real workhorse in the kitchen. Offering the maximum amount of storage in the smallest footprint, according to the company, this commercial one-door upright stainless freezer is packed with features.

The F1A-FS is constructed of stainless steel on sides, top and front, and features an all-stainless steel door with lock, insulated with 2-3/8” of foamed-in-place polyurethane, and hung on 8-gauge stainless steel hinge plates with welded hinge pins. The door is self-closing with spring-assist, but stays open past 90 degrees for loading and unloading, and has an extruded aluminum flush-mount handle. A stepped design around the perimeter of the inside of the door protects the magnetic, recessed gasket, which is easy to remove for cleaning. The cabinet interior also is stainless steel for easy cleaning, and has three adjustable epoxy-coated wire shelves and LED lighting.

A top-mounted refrigeration system using environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant is easily accessible for service and includes a condenser filter that’s easy to reach from the top of the unit for cleaning. A unique air ducting system directs cold air throughout the cabinet so there are no “hot” spots. Refrigerant flow is controlled with a thermostatic expansion valve, and the system uses a hot gas loop to evaporate any condensate. The heated defrost cycle to eliminate any ice on the epoxy-electrocoated evaporator coil is time-initiated.

The F1A-FS commercial single-door reach-in freezer has a temperature range of -10ºF to 12ºF, and has a solid state digital controller to maintain constant setpoint. The controller also has alarms for out-of-range temperatures, and an LED temperature display in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.

With ETL Safety (US & C) and ETL Sanitation certification, the Hoshizaki F1A-FS commercial upright single-door freezer has a three-year parts and labor warranty on the entire machine, and a five-year warranty on the compressor.
