Alto-Shaam’s Halo Heat® technology makes the 500-TH Cook & Hold Oven better than conventional cooking methods because it uses a low temperature and slow cooking methodology with gentle radiant heat that evenly surrounds food. Because Halo Heat® doesn’t use harsh heating elements, fans, or added humidity, it produces better food quality and doesn’t dry out or change the flavor of the food. When cooking meats Halo Heat® activates natural enzymes in meat, producing a moister and a more tender product. And it is a great solution for baked goods or other delicate food items.
This Alto-Shaam 500-TH Cook & Hold Oven has the capacity for five full-size hotel pans and features Alto-Shaam’s simple control package. The simple controls package includes a touch icon control panel that can be locked to prevent unauthorized changes, the ability to save up to eight recipe menus, a temperature probe, and a USB port to upload/download recipes. It has a stainless steel exterior cabinet, a right-side hinged solid door, and 2-1/2” wheel casters with locking brakes.
UL-Listed for ventless cooking, the Alto-Shaam 500-TH Cook & Hold Oven does not require a hood for cooking, even when preparing proteins. Use it anywhere in a commercial kitchen outside a hood.
